An ecological campaign "Clean shore" was held on Blue Lake

21 July 2016, Thursday

An ecological event organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Aviastroitelny district of Kazan. Having equipped themselves with shovels, waste bags and gloves, dozens of young people - volunteers and active participants of the "BUDETCHISTO" movement cleaned the coastal areas of Blue Lake. We see enough waste accumulating after the campers leave. Empty bottles, food leftovers, plastic bags and packages. Unfortunately, not all campers are used to cleanliness. "Today, we have carried out great work - we collected more than 30 big bags of litter from M-7 highway to Blue Lake. Besides, the main goal, i.e. cleaning of the territory, the campaign is also educational. Not only do we show an example to those who came today to help us clean, but also to those who like to spend time here. I truly believe that the work of these young people will be appreciated", acknowledged the State Inspector for Environmental Protection of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Anna Apaeva. The campaign for cleaning the coastlines from litter started in Tatarstan on July 13. It will unite representatives of municipal authorities, local authorities, active participants of voluntary and public organizations, students' and pupils' groups, as well as fellow workers of various structures and authorities and just anyone who cares. The event is carried out by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan to put everything in the state of sanitary order and maintain such order along the coastlines of water bodies, to promote active participation of citizens and careful attitude to nature in all municipal units of Tatarstan, The "Clean Shore" campaign will last until July 23.
