The President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, held a traditional meeting with heads of petroleum companies of the Republic today at Karabash village of Bugulma district. Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology - Head of the Federal Agency for Subsurface Use, Evgeny Kiselev, Deputy Minister for Energetics of the Russian Federation, Kirill Molodtsov, Chairperson of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin, and the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev participated in the event. The delegation accompanied by Director General of Tatneft PJSC, Nail Maganov, viewed information stands of a series of companies including Tatneft PJSC, Kazan Federal University, RITEK JSC, Quart, Tatpromholding, TNG-Group, Kazan State Architectural and Construction University and others. The exhibition featured advanced technologies of the companies used in the exploration and production sector, as well as scientific research results in the area of well operation, and development of new deposits, including those used for extraction of super-viscous oil. A plenary sitting of the petroleum summit was held later on. A consultant of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan on Petroleum Field Issues, Renat Muslimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - the Minister for Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Albert Karimov, Director General of Tatneft PJSC, Nail Maganov, and others reported during the summit. As it was reported during the summit, today, the companies of the petroleum field of Tatarstan pay special attention to the ecological issues when it comes to production operation; moreover, nature protection programs are actively implemented. The meetings of such level have been annually held since 2001, and they have been unofficially called the "petroleum summit".
