Greeting of the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, on the Fisherman’s Day

The Fisherman’s Day is celebrated by workers of fisheries, fishery conservation services, as well as thousands of citizens of Tatarstan and Russian who prefer fishing to any type of recreation and enthusiastically spend their free time on the coastlines of water bodies on the quiet. Today, a fishery sector in the Republic also plays an important role in the assurance of food safety of the population, while conservation and augmentation of water bioresources, their efficient and rational use become strategically important. I truly believe that further joint work of fishermen, fishery managers and fishery conservation authorities will allow to increase the yield and at the same time preserve our natural wealth for the future generations. With all my heart, I wish strong health, family warmth, happiness and well-being to all fishermen, their families and veterans of the field. Let storms and hardships steer clear of you, and let luck always be on your side!
