Tons of litter at a recreation site Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and active participants of the "BUDETCHISTO" movement cleaned Kuzmetyevsky Cape

More than 100 people including fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and active participants of the "BUDETCHISTO" movement, representatives of administrations of Kirovsky and Moscovsky districts of Kazan, as well as the host party of the Open Fishing Tournament 'TOTAL SPINNING. Kazan 2016' gathered today on the shore of the Volga River to clean the territory from litter. A total of 18 cubic meters of waste were removed from the territory over 2 hours of cleaning. "Our task is not only to clean the site, but also to show the people through our example that it is our consciousness that should be clean in the first place.  Tatarstan is one of the most attractive regions, and today we arrange the events not only on the Russian, but also on the global level, so keeping the Republic clean is a top priority for all territorial departments of the Ministry of Ecology", acknowledged Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilkham Sabirov.  "Today, "BUDETCHISTO" movement includes more than 5.5 thousand active participants", informed Dilara Satikova, mentor of the youth ecological movement of the Republic of Tatarstan 'BUDETCHISTO', - and this year, the Year of Water Protection Areas, we pay special attention to the coastal areas of water bodies. We have already managed to clean the coastlines of about 40 lakes from litter, and we carried out more than 200 campaigns in the water protection areas. Sergey Khrushev, Assistant to the First Deputy Head of Kirovskaya and Moscovskaya administrations, acknowledged that the longest coastline of the Volga River is found in Kirovsky district. "Unfortunately, when campers leave recreation sites, many illegal landfills appear", he acknowledged urging people to take care of the natural wealth. The beauty of these places were also appreciated by the host party of the first in the history Open Fishing Tournament to catch predatory fish from boats using spinning 'TOTAL SPINNING. Kazan 2016'". In no time - on July 7th - the coastline of the Volga River will gather about 100 teams from all over the country.
