"Fish resources have been replenished a lot lately". Competitions on underwater hunting are being held on the Volga River

Competitions on underwater hunting devoted to the "110th anniversary of the Russian Submarine Force" are being held in the water zone of the Volga River in the area of Zaymische village. The event was organized by the Federation of Submarine Activities of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Voluntary Association for Assistance to Army, Air Force and Navy of the Republic of Tatarstan, "Maritime Assembly of the Republic of Tatarstan" LLC together with Administration of Kirovsky and Moscovsky districts of Kazan under the aegis of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. President of the Federation of Submarine Activities of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexey Ovchinnikov, and Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilkham Sabirov, participated in the event. "This year special attention is paid to the water bodies of the Republic. The year 2016 was announced the Year of Water Protection  Areas. So we aspire to support such events, and now we actively work on creation of recreation zones", acknowledged Ilkham Sabirov. According to the President of the Federation, Alexey Ovchinnikov, the competitions are held in the individual and team events. Sportsmen from various corners of Russia participate in the event: Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Menzelinsk, Zainsk, Zelenodolsk, Almetyevsk, Samara, Perm, Dimitrovgrad, Yekaterinburg, Moscow Region and others. "I would like to acknowledge that fish resources have been a lot replenished lately", said Alexey Ovchinnikov. The competitions aim at involvement of citizens in the paramilitary sports, popularization of underwater swimming, as well as identification of the strongest sportsmen in the Republic of Tatarstan over the 2016 sports season.
