"Active position of children features a degree of ecological educatedness of the young generation". An ecological and educational event devoted to creation of the movement of young naturalists in Russia was held in Kazan.

An event devoted to creation of the movement of young naturalists in Russia and the All-Russian movement of young ecological specialists "Eco-pupils" was held today at the Municipal Ecological and Biological Center under the slogan "Be a friend to nature!". The campaign started with the welcoming word of the leading specialist of the Department of Ecological Education and Interaction with Public Organizations under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Elena Gilmizyanova. "We pay much attention to the large-scale ecology-oriented events, since they promote involvement of children and adolescents to the study of natural, historical and cultural heritage of the Republic, foster careful attitude to nature, development of civil responsibility and ecological culture", she acknowledged.Interactive ecological contests, quizzes, and master-classes were arranged for children who spend time at a summer camp under school No. 79and No. 26. Moreover, performers of the ecological theater "Raduga" staged concert performance for the guests. "The Hymn of Eco-pupils" was sung by all the participants at the end of the event.

The event aimed at development of ecological education and the culture of the love of nature in the young generation.
