Dmitry Shiller: "It takes numerous KAMAZ trucks to remove waste from Glubokoe Lake". The nature protection campaign will take place on June 11 in Kazan

A large-scale ecological campaign will take place on June 11 in Kirovsky district of Kazan on Glubokoe Lake. Ecological specialists, divers of the Tatar Branch of the Russian Geographical Society, representatives of the Academy of Creative Youth of Tatarstan, the association of bike riders and hard-of-hearing adolescents learning to dive within the framework of the social project "Expanding the boundaries" will join their efforts in the nature protection activity. The campaign will be held within the framework of the Year of water protection areas in Tatarstan and it will be devoted to the International Day for purification of water bodies. The coastal line along with the bottom of the lake will be cleaned from litter. According to the Chairperson of the Branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan, Dmitry Shiller, the campaign has become a tradtion. Nevertheless, culture of the population, in his opinion, does not change year after year: "There is so much waste, that it takes numerous KAMAZ trucks to remove it".

 Anyone who feels like it can participate in the campaign. All the required equipment will be handed at the site. The event will start at 10 a.m.

The campaign is organized by the Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Geographical Society" in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
