June 5th - the All-Russian Children's Ecological Festival will be held in Moscow on the International Day of the Environment

The event will take place at the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after M. Gorky (9 Krymsky Val), as it as reported on the official website of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation. The All-Russian Ecological Children's Festival is a family holiday that advocates values and principles of the "green" culture in Russia. The event that started with the regional nature protection projects, campaigns and contests this April will end at the site in Moscow and will become the key event in the field of ecological enlightenment of children and youth. The final event of the festival is devoted to the Day of Ecological Specialist and the Day for Protection of Children. Children from 7 to 14 years of age will participate in the Festival in the framework of regional ecological and educational contests, children's ecological campaigns, as well as educational creative projects. The runners-up of the events will arrive in Moscow where 4 platforms will simultaneously work for them featuring more than 60 master classes, quests, creative studios, film shows and ecology-related contests. The Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergey Donskoy, will participate in the awarding ceremony.

A video greeting from the international children's center "Artek" (The Republic of Crimea) will be aired in the framework of the Festival, where an ecological session "Zapovednaya strana" ("Reserved country") will be organized.

The Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Dalnevostochnye leopardy", the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Amursky tigr", the Fund n.a. V.I. Vernadsky, the Moscow Zoo, the State Darwinian Museum, the Film Studio of Children's and Youth Films n.a. M. Gorky, the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Tvoya priroda", the Festival ecological cinema "EcoChashka", the Children's Social Film Studio, and "Mosigra" became partners of the All-Russian Ecological Festival.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Department for the Use of Natural Resources and Environment Protection of Moscow, Mospriroda, and the Fund for Assistance in Environmental Protection "Priroda".
