Otary village attracted attention of ecological specialists once again. An illegal quarry was found by inspectors in the course of the helicopter overflight.
A total of 23 facts of illegal extraction of common mineral resources have been revealed in the Republic in May. Ecological specialists acknowledge that the cases of illegal quarry development have become more frequent. A total of 37 cases of illegal extraction have been so far revealed this year, and in 6 cases "black diggers" will be held criminally liable.
Another violation was revealed in Otary (Kazan, Privolzhsky district). In the course of monitoring of the sanitary and ecological state of the Republic of Tatarstan, attention of inspectors was attracted to the territory where special machinery was used including an excavator HYUNDAI and KaMAZ trucks. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan immediately went to visit the site. The violation was registered according to part 1 of Article 7.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation - the use of mineral resources without an appropriate license. Upon arrival it was established that construction sand was excavated and loaded at the site of illegal extraction of common mineral resources. Together with fellow workers of the Police Department No. 10 "Promyshlenny" of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan for Kazan, the site of administrative violation was inspected, the doors of the special machinery were sealed to restrict access to the passenger compartment during the investigative activities.
The work is currently carried out to identify the persons involved in this violation of the nature protection legislation and the owners of the indicated transportation means to hold them administratively liable, to lodge the claims regarding indemnification for the damage inflicted on the environment, and to solve the issue on initiation of the crimial proceedings.
