Tatarstan environmentalists win contest ‘Ecological Development - Evolution Awards 2016’

Tatarstan Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources became the winner of a contest, Ecological Development - Evolution Awards 2016, for the promotion of projects and solutions on green technologies. Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Sergei Donskoi solemnly handed the award Tatarstan Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Farid Abdulganiyev.

It should be recalled that the Ecotech international exhibition-forum dedicated to the issues of green economy and environmental technologies, was held in Moscow from April 26 to 29. Tatarstan was presented an exhibition devoted to the decisions contributing to the improvement of ecological situation in the region. Farid Abdulganiyev told the guests of the exhibition about the environmental activities of the republic.

"As a result of the implementation of environmental programs, the amount of industrial pollutants in the past three years was reduced by more than 22 thousand tonnes," the minister said.
The exhibition was visited by Chief of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Ivanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government Alexander Khloponin, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia Sergey Donskoy, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Artem Sidorov, Head of the Federal Agency for Water Resources Marina Seliverstova, as well as representatives of the Russian Ministry of natural resources and ecology, Rosprirodnadzor, and heads of the regional environmental authorities.
