An inspection tour was held today in the framework of the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign around Kazan Regional Department of the Gorkovskaya Railroad and the adjacent territories along the following route: Kazan - Biryuli - Kazan – Airport. "Just last week, in the framework of the railway tour, inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology revealed about 50 violations - mainly waste piles near horticultural societies and garage cooperatives. They have to be eliminated by April 23rd, otherwise the fines will be imposed", acknowledged the Minister for Ecology Farid Abdulganiev. In the course of today's railway tour they revealed more than 40 sites of unauthorized waste placement. Horticultural societies and garage cooperatives account for the greatest share of violations, namely in Krasnoselskoe and Biryuli rural settlements of Vysokaya Gora district, as well as in Privolzhsky, Vakhitovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. "Our joint task is to bring the roadsides and specifically municipal lands, as well as the territories under the supervision of executive committees, in particular, districts, administrations and rural settlements, into compliance with the relevant requirements", said Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilkham Sabirov.
Representatives of Kazan Regional Subsidiary of Gorkovskaya Railway, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Republic of Tatarstan, Department of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as representatives of administrations of Kazan districts, and heads of rural settlements participated in the railway raid carried out to inspect the sanitary and ecological state of the railroad.
The next inspection tour is planned to be held after the May holidays.
