Today, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, participated in the VI meeting of the Basin Board of Nizhnevolzhsk Basin District. The event was held under the chairmanship of the Basin Board's Chair, Head of Nizhne-Volzhsk basin water management board, Anatoly Bykov. A series of reports of the Basin Board members were heard. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, reported on the events planned in Tatarstan for 2016. A total of 21 events were coordinated in the framework of the state program of the Russian Federation "Reproduction and use of natural resources" for 2013-2020 in the context of the federal target program "Development of the water-economic complex of the Russian Federation in 2012-2020"including 10 events planned in the framework of subventions for exercise of powers of the Russian Federation in the field of water relations, 1 event on reproduction and ecological reclamation of water bodies, and 10 projects on capital repairs of hydrotechnical facilities. A report on "The land-slide in Ulyanovsk on April 5, 2016 as a classic example of a man-made disaster in the natural-technical system of the right bank of the Volga" was presented by professor of the Applied Ecology Department of Kazan Federal University, a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Venera Latypova.Director of the Federal State Institution "Sredvolgavodkhoz", Foat Mukhametshin, as well as Laboratory Head at the Institute for the Problems of Ecology and Natural Resources Use under the Academy of Sciences o the Republic of Tatarstan, Asiya Gorshkova, were co-reporters.
Following the results of the meeting, a series of decisions were made with regard to certain problems, in particular, elaboration of a draft request to the Federal Water Resources Agency on making amendments and additions to the Law No. 117-FZ "On the safety of hydrotechnical facilities" and consideration of the issue on creation of a unified online platform for fellow workers of the Federal Water Resources Agency and etc.
