Cleanliness is half of faith" Ecological specialists, proponents and representatives of various religious confessions went out to clean the territory of the National Culture Center "Kazan".

The large-scale cleaning campaign was held on the territory of the National Culture Center "Kazan" under the slogan “Cleanliness in the soul means cleanliness all around”. Wednesday working campaign was joined by representatives of various religious confessions of the Republic of Tatarstan. "The order and cleanliness of the motherland always reflects cleanliness of your soul", acknowledge religious figures. The campaign is organized in the framework of the Year of Water Protection Areas and the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign in the Republic of Tatarstan. Representativesof the Centralized Religious Organization under the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, levites and church-goers of the Evangelical Church "Nazareth", as well as representatives of the Christian Evangelic Church, students and professors of Kazan Islamic College, proponents of the youth organization "Selet", representatives of the Youth Center "AK Bars" in Kazan, proponents of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan, fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan went out to participate in the spring cleaning of the territories adjacent to the National Cultural Center along with the coastal area of the Kazanka River to clean everything from litter and last-year grass. Deputy Minister for Ecology of Tatarstan, Timur Akchurin, joined the large-scale campaign. He expressed his gratitude to all the participants of the campaign for caring attitude to nature and the native city, and he acknowledged that today's task is not only to put the territory into adequate sanitary state, but also to promote ecological education of the young generation, join the initiatives of citizens, organizations and state authorities to protect the environment. All in all, more than 50 persons participated in the event. More than 70 bags of litter were collected and removed. "Despite the fact that we represent different religious confessions, we are on the same path of God. Kazan is our common home, and we all are responsible for cleanliness and order there. Our common task is to do everything we can for the city to be really clean. First of all, it's us, the citizens living here, who need the city to be clean!", acknowledged participants of the cleaning campaign urging all the citizens to participate in Saturday cleaning campaigns and nature protection campaigns.
