More than 2.5 thousand citizens of Chistopol participated in the cleaning campaign

More than 2,500 citizens of Chistopol participated in the Saturday work campaign in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign. Workers of the Volga-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of executive and city executive committees of the municipal district, students of the agricultural vocational school, fellow workers of the subsidiary of Chistopol electrical services, teachers and pupils and educational institutions, fellow workers of prevention and treatment facilities, and workers of the cultural field and organizations participated in the campaign. Citizens of the city cleaned  parks, square gardens, streets, residential areas, playgrounds for kids, and public recreation places from trash, empty bottles and PE bags , and they also cut trees and bushes. All in all, 265 cubic meters of waste were removed to the landfill of solid domestic waste from the territory of the cityalong with 112 cubic meters ofbulk waste. All in all, 21 units of road machinery were engaged."Great work has been done. We hope that our efforts are not in vain. And we would like to address citizens of the city - take active part in Saturday work campaigns and try to keep you native city clean, since only we can take care of it", acknowledged the citizens of Chistopol.

The two-month sanitary and ecological campaign is held this year under the slogan “Cleanliness in the soul means cleanliness all around”. As a reminder,a contest is held in the Republic among the most active participants of Saturday work campaigns and nature protection campaigns.  In order to participate, one should be subscribed to the official Instagram account of the Ministry of Ecology and post his/her photo or a video spot from the Saturday work campaign or any other nature protection campaign under the hashtag #ECOSPRING2016. The main prize - iPad Air. The awarding ceremony will take place on April 23rd.
