The territories of historical and cultural heritage in Tatarstan were cleaned on the International Day of Monuments
"Let's save our historical motherland" - the campaigns on cleaning the monuments, as well as objects of historical and cultural heritage were held today under this slogan in Bilyary (Alekseevskoe municipal district), Bulgary (Spassky municipal district), and Sviyazhsk (Zelenodolsk municipal district).
Pupils of 8th and 10th forms of the Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution 'Specialized School n.a. V.V. Karpov" in Osinovo village of Zelenodolsk district participated in it. Many pupils of the specialized school are active participants of the All-Russian Children's Ecological Movement "Green planet". The specialized school has been participating for a long time now in the events organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, it also cooperates and holds joint research events with administrations of natural reserves and specially protected natural territories of the Republic. According to Elena Gilmizyanova, the leading specialist of the Department of Ecological Education and Interaction with Public Organizations under the Ministry of Ecology, purposeful work is carried out with pupils of the specialized school. Pupils participate in various campaigns actively and enthusiastically - for instance, on April 23rd, on the day of the Republican Saturday Work Campaign, they will hold the master class "How to make a bird-house correctly" at the central venue in Kirovsky district of Kazan.
Many years ago the specialized school took under patronage the monument to the Red Army Men buried there. Each year pupils go out to beautify its territory. The star set on the monument was once made by one of the pupils of the specialized school.
Not only do the pupils take care of the monument, they also know the tragic story of the grave: eternal retreat was found here in 1918 by two Red Army men who tried to hide from White Guards, but who were then betrayed and given to the White Guards for massacre.
Today, about 20 people cleaned the monument and beautified the territory around it, collected and removed the litter including fallen branches and last-year leaves.
Besides this place, on the threshold of the Victory Day, pupils beautify the territory around the Monument to the soldiers who perished in the Great Patriotic War.
"Cleaning of monuments helps in patriotism development - children should know and remember the history of their village and their motherland", think pupils of the specialized school.
As a reminder, the International Day of Monuments and historical places (Day of World Heritage) has been celebrated annuallysince1984. This day was established in 1983 by the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) under UNESCO to attract public attention to the matters of protection and preservation of the world cultural heritage. The conferences on preservation and protection of the cultural heritage are held on this day, and some museums and architectural complexes are open on this day for free visitation.
At present, there are about 150 thousand objects of cultural heritage of the federal and regional importance in Russia. The Federal Law as of June 25, 2002under No. 73-FZ(revised as of March 9, 2016) "On the objects of cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments) of the peoples of the Russian Federation" serves as the basic law in the field of preservation, use and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments).
