A cheerful and loud holiday, laughter of children and lively dances. The results of the ecological and educational campaign "Grackles have come 2016" were summarized today on the premises of the hypermarket "Maxidom". More than 300 birdhouses and feeders were presented this year to the jury. Children over 5 years of age participated in the event along with pupils, children from orphanages and boarding schools, companies and organizations. It is the fifth year that the event is held in Kazan; it was organized by a retail chain of homeware and DIY stores "Maxidom" under the aegis of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan as well as the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The following master classes were organized for the parents: execution of birdhouses, fencing, T-shirt drawing, execution of cards using a "scrapbooking" technology. Entertainers and fairy-tale characters from popular cartoons organized an interactive program for the children, a show of soap bubbles along with a venue for face painting and a contact Zoo. Moreover, a children's musical band "Ivolga" performed for the guests along with a dance and plastics studio of Dariya Sharova, a dance studio "Expandance" and a dance group of a fitness center "Maximus". The authors of the best birdhouses were awarded with prizes and diplomas. The campaign is aimed at attraction of public attention to the problem of the extinction of birds in the large cities, and it is meant to teach the children how to take care of the environment from the early childhood.
