Farid Abdulganiev: "Each citizen of Tatarstan should extend his/her civic stance, go out to participate in the Saturday work campaign and help clean the native city". Active participants and ecological specialists cleaned the coastal area of Dolgoe Lakein Nizhnekamsk

Today, ecological specialists, repsesentatives of executive committees, active participants of the public republican movement 'BUDETCHISTO!" ("It will be clean"), and students of higher educational institutions of Nizhnekamsk held the spring cleaning in the framework of the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign, having cleaned the coastal area of Dolgoe Lake in Nizhnekamsk. The Ministry for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan joined the large-scale campaign together with Mayor of Nizhnekamsk, Aydar Metshin. The Minister of Ecology expressed his gratitude to the students for passionate attitude to nature and native city and highly appraised the work carried out on the territory of Nizhnekamsk municipal district having acknowledged that enterprises, organizations, managing companies and population take active part in the campaign. In his turn, Mayor of the city, Aydar Metshin acknowledged that citizens of Nizhnekamsk traditionally take active part in the two-month sanitary and ecological campaigns, and he set a task to augment the number of such people. "Those traditions that have been established here are eternal. It is important to start with yourself and your own attitude to the environment", summed up Aydar Metshin. Having equipped themselves with shovels, rakes and brushes, students cleaned the territory from litter, dry wood, and fallen leaves. Having joined their efforts, active participants collected more than 5 cubic meters of litter from the coastline in no time. "Nizhnekamsk is our common home, and we all are responsible for cleanliness and order here. Our common task is to do everything we can for the city to be really clean. First of all, it's us, the citizens living here, who need the city to be clean!", acknowledged participants of the cleaning campaign urging all the citizens to participate in Saturday cleaning campaigns and nature protection campaigns. The aim of the event is to bring the territory of the Republic into compliance with the requirements of ecological and sanitary & epidemiological safety of the population.
