Kazan - Derbyshki - Vosstanie - Sviyazhsk – Kazan A railway raid of ecological specialists was held in Tatarstan.

Continuous photo- and video-registration of violations of the nature protection legislation - sites of unauthorized waste placement located along the railway got caught in the lens of ecological specialists. While there are no problems with regard to the state of the easement area adjacent to the railway, there are some questions that ecological specialists would like to pose to summer residents and owners of garages in garage consumer co-operatives. "Besides ecological specialists, representatives of administrations by areas of responsibility participated in the raid; moreover, we also invited heads of all rural settlements adjacent to the railway, says Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilkham Sabirov.  - There are violations in each district, the main reason whereof lies in the absence of container yards or untimely removal of waste".  The deadline was set - all the violations revealed in the course of the raid should be eliminated by April 23rd, and the adjacent territories should be put in order. The task is not a simple one, as admit representatives of rural settlements, although if they fail to comply with the set deadline, fines will be imposed for the failure to comply with epidemiological and ecological requirements in the course of management of production and consumption waste. Last year, about 74 violations were revealed in the course of such a raid, which is a lot less. Accurate number of violations will be estimated by inspectors of the Central Territorial Department - in the nearest future they will organize raids around the territories where today they revealed unauthorized waste placement. "Such raids yield significant positive results, emphasizedDeputy Head of Gorkovskaya Railway for Kazan Territorial Department of the Subsidiary of "RZhD" OJSC, Alexander Cheremnov, - year after year we see that the amount of landfills decreases, buteducation and mindset of the population don't allow us to escape those drawbacks that we observe year after year", he acknowledged.

Representatives of Kazan Regional Subsidiary of Gorkovskaya Railway, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of administrations of Kazan districts, and heads of rural settlements participated in the railway raid.
