Problems, suggestions and an appeal for help. A series of questions were discussed today in the framework of the project "Business and authority: a straight talk". The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, met with entrepreneurs. Commissioner for the President of the Republic of Tatarstan on Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights, Timur Nagumanov, was the organizer and moderator of the meeting. A wide range of questions was on the agenda. They also touched upon holding of the Year of Water Protection Areas in the Republic, prospects regarding business development on the territories adjacent to the water bodies, production, construction and operation of treatment facilities, "ecological" transportation pertaining to the decrease in emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere. Speaking of development of the gas-motor fuel market in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Minister Farid Abdulganiev informed that it is planned to replace and transfer a part of the Republican car fleet used in passenger transportation, public utility servicing, agriculture, and construction field to compressed natural gas. "It will allow to considerably improve the ecological situation in cities and populated areas of the Republic. In large cities and industrial regions, gas and diesel vehicles account for 70-80% of air pollution from the total volume of industrial emissions. Considering this fact, if a part of the car fleet is transferred to gas-motor fuel, emissions of pollutants into the air will considerably reduce, which will have a positive impact on the state of the environment and health of people", he acknowledged. Transportation companies of the Republic have already acquired 800 units of special-purpose machinery operating on compressed gas. In the framework of the project "Construction of a complex on liquefaction of natural gas and a chain of cryogenic fuel stations in the Republic of Tatarstan", it is planned to transfer 15 thousand vehicles to gas-motor fuel and to build 60 automatic compressor station gas fillers on the territory of the Republic along with 150 blocks for car filling with CNG located on the territory on car-filling stations.
The matter regarding submission of reports by small and medium businesses wasn't neglected either. The entrepreneurs wanted to know whether the measures of administrative influence would be taken in case of a failure to submit such reports. "Reports are important to clearly understand in what amount and what types of waste are formed in the course of an entrepreneur's activity, to what specialized organizations such wastes are transferred in compliance with concluded agreements, said Farid Abdulganiev. - This will allow to reduce negative impact on the environment and reduce the amount of forming waste". He also emphasized that the arrangement of work on submission and control of reports is also important for prevention of unauthorized waste placement. The deadline for report submission expired on March 1st, and those who failed to submit the reports on time will be referred to the category of offenders, informed the Minister, although, despite this fact, the Ministry of Ecology decided to meet the entrepreneurs half-way - they will get one more chance to submit the reports.
A series of matters and suggestions touched upon holding of joint ecological projects aimed at enhancement in ecology-oriented education of the pupils of the Republic and at development in the population of the culture of separate waste collection.
In the framework of the meeting, the entrepreneurs offered their help in holding of the Year of Ecology in Russia. By the way, one entrepreneur is willing to participate right away in sponsorship of planting of bushes, plants and flowers for the purposes of further landscaping of the city.
Considering high relevance of ecology-related matters and high interest of entrepreneurs, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, decided to hold the "Open House" at the Ministry of Ecology. It is preliminarily scheduled for mid May.
