A violation was revealed today in Chernyshevka village of Vysokaya Gora municipal district in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign by the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. An animal production unit was located in the water protection area of the Kazanka River which violates the Water Code of the Russian Federation. Inspectors drew up a protocol according to Article 8.12.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Failure to comply with the obligation to provide citizens with free access to the public water body and its coastal area) and according to part 4 of Article 8.13 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Violation of the water protection regime that might entail pollution of water bodies, their littering and/or depletion). According to the Deputy Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Almaz Ismagilov, in compliance with the Water Code of the Russian Federation, a 20-m coastal band should be available for citizens for recreational purposes;nevertheless, the farming enterprise is fenced off, and the rules of a sanitary zone haven't been complied with. The Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will draw water samples in the nearest future to evaluate the negative damage inflicted on the water body.
