Hundreds of people went out to clean the territories in Vysokaya Gora district. Farid Abdulganiev: "Participation of pupils in Saturday work campaigns exerts important awareness-raising influence".

A large-scale campaign on cleaning of the territories was held today in Vysokaya Gora district. Road services, fellow workers of administrations and companies, as well as pupils and students participated in the cleaning campaign. In particular, 8th graders of schools No. 1, 2 and 3, as well as Vysokaya Gora station cleaned the Victory Park (Park Pobedy) located in the forest area of Vysokaya Gora village. Under the aegis of their teachers, the pupils spread snow to be able to clean the territories from litter in the nearest future. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, greeted participants of the campaign. He emphasized that besides real help, participation of pupils in such campaigns had also awareness-raising function: having taken part in the cleaning process, the pupils would never leave trash in this park or anywhere else:

 - The most important thing is that the pupils understand that the cleaning process is not that difficult, added the Minister. - It takes about 40 minutes to clean the whole Park from litter. But those 40 minutes are very important, since the pupils who will return to the Park during summer, won't litter here.

The Minister also acknowledged that large-scale involvement in the campaign allowed to make a preliminary conclusion that the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign of 2016would be more numerous as compared to that of the year 2015 where about 700 thousand people had taken part.

Farid Abdulganiev informed the audience that preliminary results of the two-month campaign would be summarized at the end of April, and before that anyone could follow online the work carried out in Tatarstan on cleaning of the territories using the Geo-information system "Ecological map of the Republic of Tatarstan", where Ministry's Inspectors marked 24/7 the places of violations attaching pictures of the offense itself and also of the fact of its liquidation.
