The natural park "Volcanos of the Kamchatka" recruits volunteers

The natural park "Volcanos of the Kamchatka" invites hard-working, self-consistent, enterprising, creative and responsible people under 35 years of age to participate in the program of volunteer help. Venue: the "Bystrinsky" cluster of the natural park "Volcanos of the Kamchatka", the "Ketachan" cordon located in the natural park near the biggest volcano of the Sredinny Range - Ichinskaya Sopka. In order to open it (Sopka) for tourists, it is necessary to carry out great preparatory work along the routes, where the help of volunteers will be needed.

 The main direction of work is related to the development of a touristic network in the southern part of the natural park in the area of the "Ketachan" cordon located near Ichinsky volcano: 

• reconnaissance survey and search of new routes in the vicinity of the cordon;

• description of routes (photofixation, route track, stations, technical description of the route);

• cleaning and maintenance of the existing routes (marking, sign-posting, posting of information stands, and waste collection);

• maintenance and construction of facilities at the cordon and along its routes;

• registration and control of foot traffic at the cordon and the adjacent natural facilities (for instance, salmon spawning areas).
• Moreover, considering professional skills of volunteers, collection of natural materials for a visting center of the natural park.

The program envisages coverage of transportation, accommodation and alimentation expenses. Total stay should make up at least 3 months (July through September).
