#ECOspring started for the citizens of Chistopol

Farid Abdulganiev: "The citizens of Tatarstan are used to cleanliness, and it’s nice to see that they have already started putting things in order in the districts; if the activity of the population doesn’t fade but remains on the same level, we will be able to expect total cleanliness by May holidays”. A large-scale Saturday work campaign was held in Chistopol in the framework of the two-month spring sanitary and ecological campaign.  Fellow workers of the Volga-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with representatives of Executive Committee and City Council, fellow workers of the companies, teachers and pupils of educational institutions cleanedparks, square gardens, streets, residential territories and children's playgrounds,as well as public recreation places from trash, empty bottles and PE bags. All in all, 195 cubic meters of litter were removed from the territory of the city. The aim of the event is to bring the territory of the Republic into compliance with the requirements of ecological and sanitary & epidemiological safety of the population.

                The official hashtag of all the events in the framework of a two-month campaign is #ECOspring2016. The Republican spring cleaning will be held on April 23rd under the slogan “Cleanliness in the soul means cleanliness all around”.
