A two-month sanitary and ecological campaign started today in Tatarstan

Nature protection services of the Republic, specialized ministries and authorities, companies and organizations, executive committees of municipal units of the Republic of Tatarstan proceeded today to hold a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign. State inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology will organize raids to inspect the ecological state of social and cultural facilities, trading facilities, the places of public entertainment of the population, beaches, horticultural societies, garage cooperatives, as well as the state of cemeteries and the adjacent territories, the sites designated for snow depositing, the sites for collection of construction waste and provision fortheir timely removal. Moreover, control will be exercised over the surrounding grounds, easement areas and roadsides, as well as over the sanitary state of the territories of airports, river ports, railway stations, easement areas of the Gorkovskaya Railway and the Kuybyshevskaya Railway under the "RZhD" OJSC, as well as the adjacent territories and coastal belts.  The main task of the Ministry, as the coordinator of work on sanitary and ecological cleaning of territories of the Republic, is to ensure maximum and efficient interaction with all the nature protection services, specialized ministries and authorities, companies and municipalities to put the Republic into sanitary and ecological order. All the territorial departments of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will inform management of the Ministry on a daily basis in the video conference mode on detection of sites of unauthorized waste placement.  At the beginning of the two-month campaign all the municipal units of the Republic of Tatarstan created operative headquarters. Companies and enterprises are in charge of putting certain territories in order. The readiness of landfills of solid domestic waste for reception of  additional  waste was ensured. The system of reception of addresses from the citizens of the Republic has been developed. One can address the Republican Public Ecological Reception Office on violations of the nature protection legislation.  There is a hotline, an e-mail, and the State Information System "People's control" along with a mobile application "School eco-patrol". The hotline: (843)267-68-67, e-mail: eco.signal@tatar.ru, and a report can be sent to the "People's control" system.  Moreover, the citizens who provide operative information on the violations of the nature protection legislation with photo or video registration of such are remunerated.

The official hashtag of all the events in the framework of a two-month campaign is #ECospring2016. The Republican spring cleaning will be held under the slogan “Cleanliness in the soul means cleanliness all around”.
