Modernization of the manufacturing equipment and decrease in emissions of pollutants into the air The Minister for Ecology Farid Abdulganiev familiarized with the nature protection activity of Kazan Correctional Facility

A machine-assembly department, casting cupola and an induction and melting complex of the correctional facility were inspected by ecological specialists. The delegation of the Ministry of Ecology headed by the Minister Farid Abdulganiev familiarized with manufacturing processes and equipment used in the course of production. The correctional facility is one of the most powerful production sectors in the correctional system of the Republic. Great work pertaining to modernization of manufacturing equipment and decrease in emissions of pollutants into the air was acknowledged in the course of familiarization with the company's activity. In the framework of the plan of activities aimed at decrease in emissions of pollutants into the air coordinated by state ecological  surveillance authorities for 2015-2016, the Federal Government Institution Correctional facility No.2 carried out modernization of a sand-drying oven with replacement of a furnace burner with a modern one; moreover, nozzles were also replaced, and the system for carbon oxide reheating on moist dust extractor of a cupola complex was repaired, and a group of centrifugal collectors were procured for equipment of a casting house - they are to be put into operation in April 2016. Moreover, putting of an induction and melting complex into operation last year made a significant contribution into decrease in air pollution owing to the system of exhaust gas cleaning, whereby the uploading of two coke cupola furnaces was reduced along with emissions of pollutants from it. Implementation of the indicated projects sharply decreased the amount of complaints from the citizens of Kazan with regard to high-level pollution of the air related to casthouse production of the company. Heads of the Ministry and the Federal Government Institution Correctional facility No.2 confirmed their willingness to cooperate in the field of nature protection and ecological safety assurance.
