The city stage of the International nature protection campaign “March of parks-2016” starts in Kazan

All pupils are invited to participate in the city stage of the International nature protection campaign “March of parks-2016”. The event will be held on May 1-16 at Kazan Children’s Ecological and Biological Center. It is aimed at fostering of ecology-oriented mindset in the young generation and its involvement in the nature protection activity. The events of the “March of Parks” are carried out in the following areas:

1. Information and education area: conferences, exhibitions, round tables, lectures, and mass media addresses.
2. Nature protection area: practical activity at specially protected natural areas, study of the state of natural complexes, collection of signatures in support ofspecially protected natural areas, as well as speeches of propaganda teams.
3. Contest part:creative contests, and quizzes.
4. Solemn part: street demonstrations, and festivals.

The “March of Parks” is an international campaign on assistance in conservation of specially protected natural areas in Russia and bordering countries. The campaign is aimed at attraction of attention of authorities, mass media, business circles and all the society to the problems of the specially protected natural areas, and at awakening in citizens’ minds of the feeling of pride in natural and cultural heritage.

The campaign-related materials will be referred to the All-Russian contest of coverages to the Wildlife Protection Center in Moscow.
