A citizen of Nurlaty district witnessed the violation of the nature protection legislation. He caught on video how a diesel forced circulation system and special machinery collect water from the water area of the Bolshaya Sulcha River. By filling in the applicationof a standard form, the citizen addressed the South-Eastern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Inspectors visited the site and inspected the coastal area of the river. The fact of the takeover was confirmed– a diesel generator and special equipment were located at a distance of 12.6 m from the coastal area, and a metal pipeline was driven along the whole width of the coastal line.
Administrative protocols were drawn up pertaining to the revealed facts according to Article 8.12.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation(“Failure to comply with the obligation to provide citizens with free access to the public water body and its coastal area”), Article 8.42 part 1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation(“The use of the coastal protection line of the water body or the water protection area of a water body in breach of limitations of economic and other activity”), Article 7.6 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation(“Unauthorized takeover of the water body or its use in breach of the established terms”).A citizen reporting on such a violation will receive 1,500 rubles.As a reminder, monetary remuneration will be paid out to those citizens who provide operative information on the violations of the nature protection legislation with photo or video registration of the violation.
