The delegation of Kazan Children’s Ecological and Biological Center familiarized today with the activity of the Central Specialized Inspection of Analytical Control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.To obtain practical skills, experts of the laboratory gave a tour to the teachers and pupils of the Center aroundthe departments for analysis of industrial emissions andair, as well as analysis of water and soil, physical and chemical analytical methods, biological control, and operative control.Fellow workers of the inspection told about sampling and analysis of samples of natural and sewage waters, soil, air and industrial emissions, they familiarized with physical and chemical methods of analysis, biotesting and hydrobiological analytical procedures.Moreover, a new analytical apparatus “Chromato-mass-spectrometer” was demonstrated to the delegation. This equipment is meant for solution of ecological and analytical tasks: for identification of pollutants and determination of components of the objects of ecological interest, as well as for the assay of top-priority pollutants.
As a reminder, an agreement was concludedbetween the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and KazanChildren’s Ecological and Biological Center in the framework of the visit of the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, FaridAbdulganiev, to the ecological and biological center.The work of the Centeris aimed at ecological upbringing of children. KazanChildren’s Ecological and Biological Center has an extensive training base at its disposal, and it is an associated member of the Botanical Gardens Council of the of the Urals and the Volga Region under the Russian Academy of Sciences, and it enjoys a rich collection of open and protected plants (more than 500 taxons).
The event was held to exchange the experience among fellow workers, as well as to form ecology-oriented mindset in theyoung generation and provide for career guidance of students.
