Water day at the Museum of natural history of Tatarstan

In the Museum of natural history of Tatarstan held a series of events dedicated to world water day. The event was attended by Elena Gilmizyanova – leading specialist of Department of ecological education and interaction with public organizations. She spoke about the need of careful attitude to water resources of the country, called upon the visitors of the Museum to care for them and preserve the environment in their territory. Tatarstan is one of the aquatic regions of the Federal district, on the territory of the Republic are the largest reservoir: the Kuybyshev, Nizhnekamsk, Zainsk, Karabash, about 4 thousand small and medium-sized rivers, about 8 thousand lakes and thousand springs 4. Ecological and educational event aims to spread environmental awareness among the younger generation of the Republic, the education of responsible attitude to natural resources and the environment, an ecological world view formation, support and development of the system of continuous ecological education in the Republic of Tatarstan.
A meeting was held with the members of the expedition "the Arctic circle". Divers of the underwater research team of the Russian geographical society spoke about how he set a world record dive to 102 meters under the ice of the White sea.
