An ecological and geographical conference was held in Kukmor district

A district ecological and geographical conference was held at the secondary school of Verkhny Akbash village of Kukmor municipal district on the following topic: “Through search and creation – to perfection”. The event was arranged by the Educational Board of the Executive Committee of Kukmor Municipal Districtof the Republic of Tatarstan, and the “Center for out-of-school activity”of Kukmor districtwith participation of the Northern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

         About 100 pupils from 20 secondary educational establishments of the district participated in the conference.  Individual research and creative projects of the pupils from forms 7-11were presented for the contest in the following trends:

-  Natural monuments on the territory of Kukmor district;

- Ecological and biological problems, as well as human health;

- Contribution into nature protection -  activity of ecological teams, school forestries, etc.;

- Ecology during lessons–projects related to generalization ofexperience and results, as well as obtained knowledge;

- A contest exhibition “Factory of ideas”.

         The conference ended with summarization of results and awarding of winners.  All the participants obtained certificates, andwinners and awardees received certificates of merit, diplomas of the I, II, IIIplaces and souvenirs – selections ofscientific ecological collections of books, magazines, and otherecology-related editions.   

         The event is held to disseminate ecological knowledge among young generationof the Republic,foster responsible attitude to natural resourcesand the environment, as well as to form the ecological mindset.
