The results of work of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology in 2015 were summarized today

Almost half of the sites of unauthorized waste placement (about 2 thousand sites) revealed on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2015 accounts for the Central Territorial Department. Such data were announced today during the visiting session of Heads of territorial departmentswith participation of the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev. At the end of last year, the Central Territorial Department was ranked the first with regard to the amount of liquidated landfills (99%). The Central Territorial Department carries out ecological surveillance in Kazan, Vysokaya Gora, Pestretsy, Laishevo, Rybnaya Sloboda, Saby, Tyulyachi, Zelenodolsk, and Verkhny Uslon districts of the Republic. In 2015, inspectors of the department conducted 3,429 inspections, and revealed 2,298 violations of the nature protection legislation. All in all, 9.5 million worth of fines were imposed. Moreover, 19 claims were made amounting to about 37 million rubles, as it was reported by the Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. As for the tasks set for 2016, the Minister Farid Abdulganiev ordered to enhance the work on revelation of violations in the field of the use of land plots and forests in water protection areas, as well as to pay special attention to the air state acknowledging favorable joint work with the “Generating Company” OJSC aimed at reduction of the general amount of pollutants discharged into the atmosphere.
Comprehensive exercises aimed at working out actions in case of emergency oil spills were held in the Zainsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In 11 months, 5,691 messages were received at the Republican Public Environmental Reception. Of these, 5,315 appeals are 93.3% of all received appeals, which have already been resolved.
During a survey of the territory of the Privolzhsky district of Kazan, inspectors from the Central Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan recorded violations of environmental legislation.
At school No. 5 in Aznakaevo, an environmental lesson "Earth is our home" was held, organized by inspectors of the Priiksky Department for 1st grade students.
