Today, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, familiarized with the activity of Kazan Children’s Ecological and Biological Center. The activity of the Center is aimed at ecological upbringing of children, and today 1,412 pupils study here. Kazan Children’s Ecological and Biological Center has an abundant training facility at its disposal, and it is an associated member of the Botanical Gardens Council of the of the Urals and the Volga region under the Russian Academy of Sciences, and it enjoys a rich collection of open and protected plants (more than 500 taxons). Municipal Ecological Scientific Community of senior students “Biosphere”, children’s organization “Green country”, and an ecological theatre “Raduga” (“Rainbow”) are located on the premises of the Children’s Ecological and Biological Center. Long-term ecological projects have been elaborated and are being implemented including “Zilant” (the ecological forum of pupils), “Strizh”(the movementfor the healthy way of living), “Phoenix” (a program ofornithological events),“Solnechny most” (a festival ofecology-related theatrical art), and “Let’s save the nature of Tatarstan” (a nature protection contest). Theatrical performance was staged on the World Day of Wild Nature for the guests of the Centertouching upon careful attitude to the environment. The Minister highly appreciated the activity of the Center acknowledging that special attention should be paid today to the ecological upbringing of the young generation.
