Farid Abdulganiev: “Aspiration for cleanliness should be in the heart of everyone”

Unconventional classes were held today at a special school No. 7 of Kazan. The lesson “Actable ecology” was held for the pupils of 2B form by the Minister for Ecology Farid Abdulganiev. Following preliminary results of the “School eco-patrol” contest, Ksenia Malafeeva who obtained maximum points studies in this form. Starting September 1, 2015 the pupils managed to send 10 messages attaching registration of places of unauthorized waste placement. The Minister expressed his gratitude for the pupil’s view of life: “Aspiration for cleanliness should be in the heart of everyone, and I am sure that those pupils who provide us with photos of landfills and waste would never commit a crime against nature”, acknowledged Farid Abdulganiev.

Over the last six months, more than 1,000 addresses have been received for the “School eco-patrol” contest. Pupils from Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk, and Menzelinsk were found to be the most active ones.

As a reminder, the “School eco-patrol” contesthas been held for two years in a row.  One of the novelties of this-year’s contest implies the possibility to receive 10 points in case of a video registration of the process of discharge (by motor transport) of production and consumption waste at the unauthorized site. The project was elaborated by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan.  Every pupil with a mobile phone can make pictures of landfills during after-school time and send these photos to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan through the filter of the call-center of the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan, where statistics will be formed with regard to every pupil, class, school and municipality. Supervisory measures will be taken by nature protection authorities with regard to each landfill, and each pupil will be notified on liquidation of the landfill, and the relevant pictures will be attached. An application for mobile phones on the basis of iOS and Android OS was created to be able to submit photo and video materials, and it functions as an information and technical platform for the contest. A pupil will get an opportunity to be registered in the Contest using this mobile application and the corresponding logins of pupils’ personal accounts on the portal https://edu.tatar.ru/. Pupils of forms 1-11 will be able to participate in the contest. The most active pupils who have sent maximum information will be awarded at the end of the school year with valuable prizes.
