An illegal quarry for 22 million rubles — a criminal case was initiated.

Illegal quarry development resulted in criminal prosecution. Inspectors of Priikskoe Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan drew a protocol against a legal entity on administrative offence in Naberezhnye Chelny pertaining to unauthorized use of mineral resources. Clay was extracted on the area of 0.7 ha, to a depth from 5 to 15 meters. The estimated damage amounted to 22 million 659 thousand rubles. The case materials were referred to the law enforcement agencies. Criminal proceedings were initiated by the Investigative Office of the Criminal Investigation Division under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Naberezhnye Chelny for the material damage inflicted on the stateunder Article158 part 4 paragraph ‘b’“Grand theft”.
