Applications for participation in the ecological conference-contest “Man and biosphere” are currently accepted

Young ecological and biological specialists, geographers and journalists are invited to participate in the Annual YouthFar East Ecological Conference-contest “Man and biosphere”. The event will be held at the Institute of Biology and Soil Sciences under the Far East Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences from March 31 to April 1. In 2016, the conference becomes an international event, since pupils and students from the Asian-Pacific Region will participate in it. It is possible to participate both by correspondence and in person.Pupils and students from 7 to 22 years of age can participate in the contest presenting the results of their own research papers and projects. The contest of social eco-advertisement will feature creative pieces of work in such genres as a poster, a video, cartoons, a video spot, or a video film. Young journalists will present their pieces of work in the line of “Ecology-related journalism”. These include research papers for the study of biodiversity of the motherland,papers in various spheres of biology and ecology; nature-related projects with a focus on local and regional problems; pieces of work related to tourism and recreation; as well as projects on eco-design, beautification of residential territories. A large amount of pieces of work will be devoted to water-related topics featuring the results of public monitoring and control over sea and freshwater resources. Young researchers and nature-keepers will make their suggestions with regard to the solution of ecological problems.
