Criminal proceedings were initiated for the theft of the fertile layer

The investigation department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Mamadysh district initiated criminal proceedings for the theft of the fertile soil layer and common mineral resources (clay loam) under Article 158 part 4 paragraph“b”“Grand theft”. The violation was detected in the course of the state ecological monitoring carried out last August by inspectors of the Cis-KamaTerritorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Common mineral resourceswere illegally extracted in Mamadysh districtnear Omary village. The damage amounted to 4.5 million rubles. The license on the use of mineral resources at this site hasn’t been obtained.
