The 4th visiting session of the Federal Ecological Board is held today in Kaliningrad

The 4thvisiting session of the Federal Ecological Board under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation on the “Year of Ecology and specially protected territories in the Russian Federation: planning of international, national and regional events” is held today in Kaliningrad under the chairmanship of the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergey Donskoy.

A delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan including deputies of the State Council of the Republic(representatives of the Committee on ecology, nature use, agricultural, industrial and food policy), as well as representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the event.The measures pertaining tominimization of accumulated damage, liquidation of “hot zones”, enhancement in the quality of environmental monitoring, as well as preservation and recovery of water resources planned for 2016-2017 will be discussed in the course of the event.The topics related to the development of special protected natural areas and preservation of biodiversity will be reviewed during the meeting.
