The project aimed at improvement of the environment on the territory of Russia goes through public debate in Moscow

The project “Strategies of ecological safety in the Russian Federation until 2025” goes through the procedure of public debate. The document is mindful of the priorities for the development of nature protection regulations defined by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation earlier in the “Basic state policy in the field of ecological development in the Russian Federation until 2030”, as it is reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. The priorities in the field of environmental protection and assurance of ecological safety are taken care of in the framework of state programs “Environment protection”, “Forestry development”, and “Development of water utilization system of the Russian Federation”. The priorities of the state policy in the field of ecology include reduction in the man-caused impact and maintenance of the favorable environmental state and human natural habitat. Implementation of the main provisions of the Strategy will lead to substantial improvement in the state of the environment on the territory of Russia. The document also evaluates the current state of ecological safety in the Russian Federation, defines challenges and threats, and elaborates tendencies and possible development scenarios in the field of assurance of ecological safety of the country.
