TheCis-KamaTerritorialDepartmenttook the lead at the end of 2015

Inspectors of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology imposed more than 10 million rubles worth of fines for the violations of the nature protection legislation. In 2015, allinall, theyconducted 1,320inspections and revealed1,355 violations, whereof 1,346 have been eliminated. The Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan carries out control and supervision in the field of nature protection in Naberezhnye Chelny, Elabuga, Agryz, Aktanysh, and Mamadysh municipal units, as well as in Mendeleevsk, Menzelinsk and Tukaevo districts.  Head of the Department, Nail Garipov, acknowledged that a significant share of violations is revealed owing tothe well-coordinated work with citizens of the Cis-Kama region. Lastyear, 76 addresseswerereceivedthroughthe “People’scontrol” system, and21 violations were eliminated in hot pursuitowing to the program of financial incentives envisaged for the citizens who provide photo- or video registration of violations of the ecology-related legislation. AccordingtoGaripov, pupilswerethemostactivecitizens having referred 670 notifications addressed to the Cis-Kama Territorial Department through the “School eco-patrol” system. Ingeneral, DeputyMinisterforEcology–ChiefStateInspectoroftheRepublicofTatarstaninthefieldofenvironmentalprotection, FayazShakirov, highly appreciated the work of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department in 2015 acknowledging that following the results of activity of the Ministry’s territorial departments, the Cis-Kama Territorial Department took the lead with regard both to its group, and to the Ministry in general. FayazShakirovsetthetasktoenhancecontroloverthesystemofcollection, transportation, sorting, and disposal of solid domestic waste, as well as over the work in the framework of collection of paymentsfor the negative impact on the environment.
