More than 4 million rubles worth of fines were imposed by inspectors of the Trans-Kama Territorial Department in 2015

The results of work in 2015 were summarized, and the tasks for 201 were set at the Trans-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. SpecialistsoftheTrans-KamaTerritorialDepartmentcarry out control and supervision in the field of nature protection in Nizhnekamsk, Zainsk, and Sarmanovo. Head of the Department, Alexey Lobanov, reported that in the course of the state ecological supervision, last year inspectorsconducted628 inspections and revealed 687 violations, while681 have already been eliminated.  Allinall, 4 millionworthofadministrative fineswere imposed.Lobanovalsoacknowledgedthatowingtofavorableresultsofthecomplexprogram aimed at decrease in emissions of pollutants into the air, Nizhnekamsk was excluded from the list of cities with the highest level of air pollution. DeputyMinisterforEcology–ChiefStateInspectoroftheRepublicofTatarstaninthefieldofnatureprotection, FayazShakirov, ordered to improve work on detection and prevention of violations of the nature protection legislation in the water protection area, as well as along the coastline, and to ensure rigid controlover discharge of pollutants into water bodies and operative damage estimation. Moreover, according to Fayaz Shakirov, special attention should be paid to the matters regarding operation of treatment facilities that discharge production and service-utility sewage waters into water bodies.

Attheendofthereportingmeeting, certain fellow workers of the Department were distinguished with the Certificates of Merit and Letters of Gratitude.
