Farid Abdulganiev: “Ecological safety assurance is one of the characteristics of successful region development”. Social and economic development of Nizhnekamsk in 2015 was discussed today

The results of social and economic development of the municipal unit in 2015 and the tasks for 2016 were discussed today in Nizhnekamsk with participation of the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. Head of the City and District, Aydar Metshin, said that last year almost all of the planned economic indicators were achieved, and all the social commitments to the citizens were fulfilled. Among the tasks he acknowledged maintenance of the position of the territory of economic growth, improvement of conditions of comfortable living and social well-being, in particular ecological safety assurance, since, according to the Minister for Ecology of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, it is one of the characteristics of successful region development. “A lot of large industrial enterprises are concentrated in Nizhnekamsk, and that is why this matter becomes especially important”, acknowledged Farid Abdulganiev. In general, the Head of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic highly appreciated ecological programs of large industrial enterprises of Nizhnekamsk, whereby it was possible to considerably reduce discharges of pollutants into the air, and to carry out reconstruction and modernization of biological treatment facilities. He highlighted the energy-saving events carried out by “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” PJSC.
