“Milk rivers” unfit for use were discharged on to the soil

A dairy plant will be held liable for the failure to comply with ecological and sanitary-epidemiological requirements to management of production and consumption waste. The joint-stock company “ZMK” located on the territory of Buinsk discharged production wastes of dairy production on to the landscape. The area of polluted soil made up 300 square meters, and its depth was 20 cm. Inspectors of the Trans-Volga Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan drew up an administrative protocol against a legal entity under Article 8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, and the fine amounted to 100 thousand rubles.
