Mass fish death is detected in Nizhny Kaban Lake

An address was received today by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with regard to mass fish death in Nizhny Kaban Lake on Khadi Taktash str. in Kazan. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Department found dead fish at the site. The Central Specialized Inspection of Analytical Control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan drew water samples to identify the reasons of mass fish death. A mobile laboratory of the Central Specialized Inspection of Analytical Control allowed to carry out an emergency oxygen saturation test – the results showed normal oxygen saturation. More detailed results of the tests will be known within 7-10 days.
