XVI Municipal Open Ecological Forum "ZILANT 2016"

We continue to accept works for XVI Municipal Open Ecological Forum of 8-11 grade pupils "ZILANT", which will take place on January 29, 2016 in Culture and Sport Centre of the Kazan Federal University "Uniks". Theme of the forum is "Problems of soil protection in the Republic of Tatarstan". This year specific attention will be paid to mass organized section (propaganda team) and environment protection section, active participants whereof will be awarded by diplomas of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Lines and nominations of the Forum:

1. Research and development line. Reports will be made in 8 sections: "Flora, Plant Ecology", "Fauna, Animal Ecology", "Bio-indication", "Water Projects, Hydro-Ecology", "Agricultural Ecology", "Homo Sapiens: Social Ecology, Psychology", "Industrial Ecology", "Human Health and Ecology".

2. Mass organized line (nomination - propaganda teams). Degree of theme revelation, originality, expressiveness of the performance, scenario will be assessed (the report will be submitted during the section). 7 propaganda teams will take part in the nomination – one team from each district of the city.

3. Environment protection line "Conservation of Bio-Diversity and Problems of Protection of Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan". Reports on the held environment protection work will be presented at this section, they must reflect personal activity in solution of environment protection problems – cleaning and accomplishment of urban and suburban areas, accomplishment and landscaping of school area, hanging of feed-boxes and feeding of wintering birds, making and hanging of nesting boxes, organization and holding of various environment protection events etc.

 4. Educational line on the Forum theme. Competition will be arranged under extramural form in three nominations: wall newspaper, literary art (essay), posters.

The event has been held since 2001. It is aimed at formation of optimal conditions for intellectual and creative self-expression of pupils, contribution to preliminary profile work with the upper formers. Organizers are the Administration of Education of the Executive Committee of the city of Kazan, Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Municipal Ecology and Biology Centre for Children, Kazan Federal (Volga Region) University.
