Violators of the environmental legislation have caused damage to nature in the amount of 360 million rubles during a year

Over 360 million rubles of damage to nature, 10 criminal cases and termination of activity of 101 republican enterprises. Results of operation of the state environmental supervision for 2015 were summarized today at the operational meeting of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the year inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology have held 7798 inspections, in the course of which they have detected 7055 violations. Claims were made for severe violations of the environmental legislation on compensation of the damage for the total amount of 362.6 million rubles (105 million rubles in 2014). The largest claim on damage compensation amounts to 313 million rubles and is against LLC "Bavlyvodokanal". Courts of the Republic of Tatarstan have taken decision on termination of activity of 101 enterprises activity of which was arranged with violation of environmental norms. 10 criminal cases were brought according to materials submitted to the law enforcement bodies. Work on detection and removal of violations were intensified in part of limitation of access of citizens to the foreshore. 105 protocols were executed in 2015, in 2014 there were 20 protocols.

The Minister of Ecology Farid Abdulganiev has given instructions for continuation of supervisory activity, particularly, paying specific attention to events on detection of violations of water protection legislation. According to the Minister it is necessary to organize work on acceptance of records from small and medium business in the sphere of waste management in order to prevent unauthorized disposal sites and to intensify work on employment of social inspectors and execution of materials with their participation.
