An agreement on implementation of the investment project “Construction of the complex on condensation of natural gas and a network of cryogenic gas-filling stations in the Republic of Tatarstan” was signed today at the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and “Gazprom gas-motor fuel” LLC. The document was countersigned by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov and Director General of “Gazprom gas-motor fuel” LLC, Mikhail Likhachev. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, participated in the event.
As a reminder, by Ruling of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan as of April 26, 2013 under No. 283, the State program “Development of the market of gas and motor fuel in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2013-2023” was ratified, whereby it is planned to transfer a part of the republican car fleet used for passenger traffic, public utility services, agriculture purposes, and construction field to compressed natural gas. According to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, implementation of the events under the Program will allow to considerably improve ecological situation in the cities and communities of the Republic. “In large cities and industrial regions, a share of the air polluted with gas and diesel motor transport amounts to 70-80% of the total amount of industrial emissions. Considering this fact, if we transfer a part of motor transport to gas and motor fuel, emissions of pollutants into the air will be considerably reduced, which will have positive impact on the state of the environment and human health”, acknowledged the Minister of Ecology. As of 2013, transportation companies acquired more than 600 gas-cylinder buses and more than 250 pieces of gas-cylinder machinery for public utility services. A new NGV-refueling compressor station-2 was constructed in Nizhnekamsk, and at present pre-commissioning activities are carried out. In 2016, it is planned to construct and put into operation new NGV-refueling compressor stations in Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk, and Bugulma. Kazan branch of “Gazprom gas-motor fuel” LLC will start construction of 5 NGV-refueling compressor stations on the territory of the Republic: in Kazan, Aznakaevo, Alekseevskoe district, Elabuga, and Leninogorsk.
All in all, it is planned to transfer 15 thousand motor vehicles to gas and motor fuel in the course of the Program and to construct 60 NGV-refueling compressor stations on the territory of the Republic along with 150 systems to fill vehicles with compressed natural gas on the territories of gas-filling stations.
