The campaign aimed at collection of recyclable materials was held in Naberezhnye Chelny

Today, a regular municipal ecological campaign “Green street” was held in Naberezhnye Chelny under the logo “Clean city starts with you!” The event is aimed at attraction of attention of the citizens to the matter of separate collection of consumption waste. A second container for the separate collection of recyclable materials was installed in the residential estate “Bumazhnikov” to collect waste paper, plastic and metal. The campaign was held with the support of the Cis-Kama territorial department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and a group of companies “PromIndustriya” that deal with collection, transportation, processing of production and consumption waste, as well as processing of recyclable materials. 

According to the specialists of the Ministry of ecology, separate collection and sorting of waste allows to maximally unload the landfills of solid domestic waste. Recycling also has economic benefits. Such stations for collection of recyclable materials should become the first element in the chain of collection, sorting, processing and obtainment of recycled materials to use it in the manufacturing of new products. The tasks of recycling include solution of the problem of limited resources, decrease in the cost of final products on the account of the use of cheaper raw materials and prevention of environmental pollution.
