Future ecological specialists were told about the principles of safe waste storage

A new landfill of solid domestic waste complying with the ecological requirements was visited by students of the Institute for Ecology and Nature Use under the Kazan Federal University. The tour was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and devoted to the annual World Recycling Day. Future ecological specialists were told about the construction of the landfill of solid domestic waste “Vostochny”, familiarized with the modern waste burial technologies after deep sorting and bricketing. The places for waste storage were equipped with special water-proof film, which allows to propel to the next level the safety of burial excluding penetration of hazardous substances into soil and subsoil waters.
As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Today, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Ziganshin spoke at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was dedicated to the start of the sanitary and ecological two-month period and environmental work plans for 2026 within the framework of the national project "Environmental well-being".
Today, at the weekly staff meeting with the heads of structural and territorial divisions, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, presented badges and official identification cards to the staff of the department.
