Specialists of the laboratory under the Ministry of Ecology familiarized the students of the Kazan University with the system of ecological and analytical control

Students of the Institute for Ecology and Use of Natural Resources under the Kazan (Volga) Federal University were familiarized with the system for the monitoring of the sources of human impact on the environment with the use of analytical equipment. The sightseeing tour was held at the Central Specialized Inspection of Analytical Control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The students visited the departments for analysis of industrial discharges and air, analysis of water and soil, physical and chemical analytical methods, as well as biological control, and operative control, where the heads of departments told in detail about their activity, and demonstrated operational equipment and devices complying with the state-of-art standards. Fellow workers of the laboratory told in detail about the process of sampling and analysis of samples of natural and sewage waters, soil, air, and industrial emissions, and they familiarized with physical and chemical methods of analysis, biotesting and hydrobiological research methods. Moreover, a mobile ecological laboratory for sampling and examining of air samples was also demonstrated to the students.
