Requests on liquidation of illegal waste placements were referred to Heads of 8 districts of Tatarstan

As a result of inspection of the territories of Pestretsy, Laishevo, Vysokaya Gora, Zelenodolsk, Verkhny Uslon, Sarmanovo, Chistopol, Tukaevo municipal districts and Kazan, 22 sites of illegal placement of consumption and production waste were revealed. The measures of administrative influence are being implemented against the owners of the land plots in accordance with Article 3.6 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Tatarstan “Violation of municipal regulations pertaining to beautification of the territories of settlements and urban districts” and in compliance with Article 8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation "Failure to comply with ecological and sanitary and epidemiological requirements when it comes to management of production and consumption waste, the substances destructing the ozone layer, or other hazardous substances”. The requests on liquidation of the landfills and arrangement of the territories in compliance with the relevant sanitary and ecological norms until October 23, 2015 were referred to heads of municipal units.

The violations were revealed in the course of a scheduled weekly helicopter over-flight with participation of the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev. The territories were inspected by inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry.
